My little sister is 3 years younger than me and she "borrows" my things all the time. What bothered me most was that she never asked. If she just asked, I usually will say yes; unless it is brand new, or I had planned to wear it in the near future. But no she never asks, just takes. When we were younger she always took my stuff because she thought I dressed cool and wanted to look cool and sophisticated like me. When you are 11 you think you are oh so cool and so grown up, and you really want to look and act that way. Now that she is older it is much better because we fit the same sizes and I can now "borrow" her clothes! Although I ALWAYS ask first, because I know how much it sucks for someone to steal your stuff. Although I do have to hide my make-up from her because I spend my hard earned money on my make-up and she uses it half up before I ever get the chance to use it once. So I hide my make up and keep trying to get her to ask before "borrowing" my things. So far, she hasn't caught on but I hope that one day she will...probably not until hell freezes over though.

That's cute. You're little sister just wants to be like her big sister! Imitation is the highest form of flattery (or something like that). Take it as a compliment. And yeah, she probably is trying to show off too. 11 years old.. what is that, fifth-grade-ish?
I borrow my little sister's clothes all the time. She's two years younger than me, but we're about the same build/height. Why buy my own and spend more money for something I'm only going to wear once in a while, when I can just borrow it from my sister?

Well, I don't have any younger siblings, but my friend Ashley is in the same situation.
Her sister is 11, and she is 15. Her sister wears her clothes all the time, without asking, and the clothes she "borrows" are nice name brand.
In my opinion, it's the times they are growing up in, the want to be "hot" and look older than they really are.
But that's just my opinion.

Yes at this day in age little girls are influenced to dress and act a certain way. Girls are maturing a lot qiucker nowadays. This is partly due to the media varying from televison, magazines, movies to even myspace send the wrong types of messages to preteens.

My sister did this when we were kids! What I didn't understand was I dressed more conservative than she did and she used to tease me about how I dress yet she would take my clothes and wear them herself! What's interesting is, if I gave her permission to wear an outfit or actually gave her an outfit she never wore it again!
Hey, All Little Sisters, why do you do this?!?

Most of the ladies I performed sporting events with bought referred to as lesbians too, and we are not able to ALL be lesbians. Things will ultimately difference and girls and boys can do something they desire and be loose to specific themselves.

Everyone these days are so caught up in name brands. i remember when i was in elementary/middle school everyone was so caught up in wearing designer clothes and such...then i realized it's not what you wear....it's how you wear it. But yeah i guess she is just trying to show off for her friends. Attention is a craving in middle school...i'm sure you remember that feeling.....?
Hope it helps!
