I was planning to visit Newtown PA, but my car wouldn't make it from Baltimore. Should I take Amtrak to Philadelphia station? Are there any other closer stations to NewTown PA?

If I get off the Trenton NJ Amtrak station, how do I get to downtown Newtown PA from there. How far is Trenton Amtrak from Newtown?

Might be able to Amtrak it to Trenton and work your way backwards. But be aware of the SEPTA motto if you use them at all. "We're getting there.....eventually!"

You can take an Amtrak to 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, then in the same station get on the Septa line--that's the commuter train there. You can find more info and schedules at http://www.septa.com. My friend visited me by train from Baltimore a lot when I lived near Philadelphia and it was less stressful for her than driving.

If you use Septa, be prepared for common 10 minute delays here and there, and make sure you get the holiday schedule if you are going on a holiday.
