We are thinking about buying the house that we have been renting. The lady that came to appraise house, appraised the house at 72.900 without looking at the hold house. I think the house should be sold at about 40 to maybe 45. 000. My husband is so hard headed, he told the lady that he would give 50.000. I think they are trying to sell him the house because they have not had anyone else trying to buy the house. I think he needs to rethink everything. I think they are just trying to take his money, because they didn't have a problem agreeing to the 50.000. So if anyone knows about buying house please help.

Here is a website you can use to find the current value of your house. I have found it to be very accurate, although you should be aware that it is not an official appraisal.

Zillow.com is not accurate the best is pay an appraiser , look the houses for sell around your neighbor and the ones that have been sold , other things that you have to have in mind is how is your house comparable with the others , I mean if yours have any upgrades , I just can tell you that even expensive appliances count to give a high value on the house

get an independant appraiser, and have it reappraised
