I will agree I do not think liberialism in inherent. It is a result of education, enlightenment, and introspection.
If you think all liberals are atheists, you apparently have not meant very many of them.

I think it is true that many liberals are hyper reactive and a good deal of that should be contributed to a lack of some type of basis of values. Because they don't have specific values, which have been important to them all their live, they feel the need to strongly defend these newly acquired values. Now I don't think that this is because of a lack of religion. Religion is only one conduit for values and because America was founded by staunchly religious people it is the conduit that has been used for over 200 years in this country, but if using religion do development a system of values works for a particular person they by all means they should use it, but if a person is an atheist then they should find some other influence or template with which to determine what is important to them.

People tend to be influenced by how they were raised, and that tends to shape their political views. Those who are truly religious tend to be liberal (social justice, feeding of the hungry, clothing of the poor), as do those who have seen a lot of discrimination. They see right and wrong, just differently than conservatives. Conservatives see abortion as wrong and dead wrong. Liberals see abortion as wrong, but something that may need to be legal to protect the rights of women and people in general. Conservatives see gay marriage as a sin. Liberals see gay marriage as a something that is okay politically, because sins are between a person, their God, and their church. They believe "all men are created equal" and in religious freedom.
As a liberal I can say that I see right and wrong and I am striving to make the world better so that we can work on what is needed to help this country succeed.

First let me assure you that you are undeniably a moron.
I am a Liberal Christian and I don't hate America, but I sometimes criticize thing we do. Think about it this way:
If you have children, do you think they are perfect? Probably not. When you see your child misbehave, do you ignore it and continue to pretend they are perfect, or do you try to correct their behavior? Does this mean that you hate your child, or love them because you are trying to make them better?
Loving America does not mean turning a blind eye to her failures. It means admitting the failures and taking steps to correct them.
For example, George W. Bush started a war in Iraq while ignoring real threats in the middle east and North Korea. Even though he had no plan after driving out Saddam and has been making mistake after mistake (I'll list them for you if you want) he refuses to admit mistakes. If you can't admit mistakes, you can't correct them.
Conservatives who claim to love America should be helping out leaders to see their errors so they can be fixed, rather then allowing America to continue to lurch down the road of disaster.

This kind of single-mindedness is a detriment to society. Having multiple viewpoints is a great way to foster debate, and accomplish the betterment of society as a whole. Boiling things down to "Liberals/conservatives are idiots" acts only to undermine the basis upon which this coutry was founded.
We may not all agree on things, but we are all necessary. Please keep that in mind before you start spouting out hatefilled speech, and hate-mongering.

well... we don't boil everything down to oversimplified black and white, which ends up causing more problems than solving...
sounds like you've lost a few debates to liberals "being hyper critical" with their facts and you're still a little sore about it?
