I was 21 when John Lennon was murdered and I was in New York at the time and had met him only a week before,I was already a Beatles fan and had started listening to alot of their individual music,I cried so much when John was killed and attended a vigil in Central Park,it is now called Strawberry Fields in that section,I still get sad when I think of the loss of John Lennon.

Had to be John Lennon too since I grew up in the 60's

I think it changed all of us. .

When you listen to his music , think how great it was. And you had met him too which is even better. He was probably down to earth just like George Harrison was I would think

I have to say Kurt Cobain. I was 14 when he died, and I remember exactly where I was: my family and I were waiting in line to take the ferry to Seattle, and we heard something on somebody else's car radio, my brother freaked out and yelled at my dad to change the station in our car. Kurt was a beautiful person who wrote awesome music, and I was just so sad because suicide didn't have to be the reason, he was so much better than that. It's hard to explain. Kurt was a huge influence to my brother and now my brother has his own band and is doing pretty well in the local scene! If I were older it definitely would have been John Lennon as well, but I was only five months old :)

Mitch Hedberg..
I was a hardcore fan.. I loved him dearly.. saw him in concert and met him in person once. He was a funny loving man..and he left us too soon. I cried for days after I heard the news.
I still get all watery eyed when I listen to his routine.. I think he had what it takes to be HUGE in comedy.. such a loss for everyone!

I got a little teary eyed when I heard that Don knotts (Barney, from The Andy Griffith show) had died. I still watch those reruns no matter how many times I've seen them.

Andy Gibb. He was my childhood crush, I loved him and the BeeGees and had every piece of music they released, knew every word of every song by heart. I was devastated!
