How did you get a job that you really enjoy? Right now I am a dispatcher. I like it, can be rewarding but I would like to try something else. I just don't know what I would be good at. How did you figure out what you wanted to do?

At the age of 15 I started collecting coins. I realized how easy it was to sell & trade them. My hobby soon (5 years later) became a small business. At the young age of 45 I retired from that small business. So find what your heart desires and go for it full steam. You will not regret it. Wish you all the luck in the world.

I work full-time and go to school part-time, so I didn't think I'd have time for a second job even though I desperately needed the money. When I heard about the Mary Kay opportunity I wasn't sure it was for me because I didn't think I'd be good at it, but after trying the products, seeing what they did for my skin, and how they sell themselves, I knew I had to get involved!

The great thing is that you can work it part-time, full-time, not at all, whatever you want. There are no deadlines, no bosses, no quotas, and you make 50% of everything you sell and it grows over time. It's money in your pocket - no waiting for a paycheck. The products sell themselves and the demand is so high, but people don't know where to buy it because we don't advertise. This is a great opportunity for sharp, positive women... The need is high, so the company needs more people to be of service.

Most people, women especially, are not appreciated or acknowledged as they should be in their career. This is why Mary Kay Inc. awards gifts, prizes (diamonds, cars, etc.) for every little achievement we make. Doesn't it feel great to be around positive people who recognize your success?

You can take the Life Can Be Good quiz to see if this is something for you (you must be 18 or older): http://www.marykay.com/adina_k/startabusiness/lifecanbegood/default.aspx

My job came to me accidentally in one way, I spent my life as a manager of golf facilities, professional, teacher of the game, etc.
I started with not much, got a little lucky along the way. I often wish I had something different, but I have things to be thankful for.

Again, it really came by accident !

I hated my job because my new boss harrassed me to the point where I had to quit.
I wish I could figure out what I wanted to do since college didn't pay off.

Being retired, of course. Before I retired, I was in numerous positions in power plant operations and maintenance. There were bad days but overall I loved doing it.
