Lately I've been thinking about becoming a doctor when I get older. I'm going into eigth grade next year, and I know it's a little early to seriously consider a career, but what are some things I can do better prepare for something like that?

If it helps, I want to be an anesthesiologist. (Yeah, I know that's a really high expectation.)

I have a 4.0 right now, and I know grades won't be a problem. (Sorry if that sounds a little braggy. It's just that good grades have always come easily to me, and at times when they don't, I'm always willing to go the distance to keep up.)

when you're in highschool, for your electives try to get into some extra biology classes, i took anatomy in HS. Also check out the Community Colleges during summer, they offer classes to everyone, talk to a counsler and say you want to get into the medical field, what are some classes that i should take? usually, u would have to take regular Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology.

When you want to become a doctor, the most crucial thing is to enter a faculty for this profession and to study later. Only good knowledge of subjects during entrance examination is counted usually (if to forget some persons from corrupted circles). It is easier if you prepare yourself not only by learning things, but also if you know very well which exams are required, learn deeper these things, and become familiar with the character of concrete examinations - are they tests, oral or written, at which time to repeat things before exams. That is more logistics.
But in fact, becoming a real doctor has little to do with such things. I would advise you to work as a volunteer a little somewhere in a hospital before selecting a medical profession. Medical studies themselves include a lot of swot, good professors are important if you want to study with fun.
