I have read it, and congratulations, that is a great book to read! I love reading old books like that, as you learn a lot of older language that has died out by our time period. A couple more you should try if you liked that are The Grapes of Wrath, Don Quixote (absolutely hilarious), and House of the Seven Gables
by the way, my dog's name is Katie Scarlett O'Hounddog and my cat is Mrs. Melanie Wilkes :-)

I read Gone With The Wind for the first time when I was 12 or 13. And yes, I loved it. I thought it was great...the best book ever written. I've read it many times since then as well. 19 days is pretty quickly too. I've had years of practice, but four days was my record for reading it!

It's a very good book, I watched the movie too. There are alot of differences between the two. If your looking for something else to read try reading Scarlett which the sequal. It's by a different author but it's still pretty good.

Try out SCARLETT by Alexandra Ripley, It's supposed to be a sequel to Gone with the wind..Its pretty good too..Only a little hasty, they don't take the story on slowly, always rushing into things. But nevertheless, it was a good book, you can actually compare it to the original.

I absolutely love that book. I don't remember how old I was when I first read it, but I did read it in one sitting, meaning I got no sleep that night. Then, I did a truly horrible thing: I went and got the sequel: Scarlet. I guess everyone's entitled to their own mistakes.

Yes, I read it when I was about your age. (That would be about 33 years ago. LOL) You are a quick reader!
Compared to current epics, Scarlett and company are pretty good reading. ; )
What did you think of Ashely Wilkes?!?
What do you plan to read next?
Margaret Mitchell died before she could write anymore. Too bad by half.
