i had my ipod for about a month or so and when i pluged it in i picked it up a little bit later and it was so hot i couldnt pick it up. Im not sure why it did it. I bought it at walmart u think i could take it back when i get back from vacation? I got it at walmart and i dont think theres a warenty i have the reciept and everything.

It's not supposed to get hot. That may be a defect in the ipod, or maybe you are charging it in a bad spot. Did you charge it near a window? Maybe the sun made it hot? ANyway, find the nearest 'Apple Store', take it there, and they should fix it for you if in fact it's defective.

And in the future, don't shop at Wal*Mart...they are a bad company who is hurting the american worker, and the american economy...but that's a different answer to a different question.

What kind of ipod is this? I got the nano, and it's never done that before. Of course, it's perfectly normal for it to get a little hot when it's charging, but it shouldn't get to the point where you can't pick it up.

Walmart is usually pretty good about taking things back. It should not be getting hot, not at all.

my ipod overheats sometimes when i charge it usually if the power surge is too high.
It's totally normal. kind of like how a laptop heats up after a while.
