Actually in the orginal Odd Couple movie the one was gay if I am not mistaken. It was the orginal Sitcom that changed the premise to a neat freak and a messy guy. Anyway though yeah I'm sure it is just a "coicdence" that he is claiming to be gay. Espically that he "got caught" going to a gay bar. Oh come on he avoided being caught all these years and he just suddenly was caught. Espically when you don't even hear of them following him around anymore.
