When I worked those hours, I'd come straight home and unwind a little, and go to bed about 10 and sleep til 5 or 6 in the evening. Then I'd get up and have coffee and watch tv, do housework and get ready for work. Don't sleep more than 7 or 8 hours every day - you may want to sleep more since you're working nights. You'll lose track of the days if you sleep a lot. Also, on your last day before your days off, you may not want to sleep the full 7 or 8 hours during the day if you want to sleep at night with your mate.
Just a suggestion...

Trust me, you will write me later and tell how much it helps, I used to have to work this shift... have a few drinks or beers at 7:30 in the morning, get where you look forward to it, run your errands in the afternoon, go to bed around 3:00 PM wake around 11 PM get ready, go to work at 12 M. You will feel much better this way

14:00 to 22:00, at least; if you require more hours go to bed earlier. Take it from a PRO who's been there.
