lol good question, i think it is the first one though (at least thats how the reporters are saying it.)

Thank you so much for asking!! I am so bothered by journalists IN LEBANON, for crikey's sake, who refuse to say it the right way...
Hezbollah translates into "Party Of God". Of course, God translates back into Allah. That is, all-AH.
The Arabic news reporters all pronounce the party name as HEZ-bol-Lah. The main stress is 'Hez-', while the 'Allah' part is stressed as the second most important, or the second syllable.
Say it with me, HEZ-bol-Lah.
NOT hezBOWLahhhh.

I keep hearing this..... hez-bowl-la I know you don't spell it that way...I would like to call it extinct....

The 'H' and 'B' are silent as well as the "AH" so it is pronounced ez-oll. ezolls is the plural
