Yes, don't do it. You know why? Because, once you stop, all the weight you lost, you will gain back. There's no short cut to loose weight. You have to eat right and excerise. That's it.

I have crash dieted too often to even remember. It works. It really works, but it comes back double hard. If you crash 10 lbs, 20 lbs comes back. 20 lbs, 40 lbs comes back. I was 103 lbs in my 20's and am really working hard to bring myself down to at least 155 lbs. I only have 14 more lbs to go. And, it has been slow and steady with good nutritional food and lots of exercise. This way, once it is off, it stays off. It's a lifestyle, not a diet.

well, there IS a reason why people say it's bad! It's dangerous and unhealthy. If you want to lose weight, watch your portions and drink a lot of water...especially b4 you eat. You'll fill yourself up on water, and won't eat as much. If you like gragefruits, then eat them...they help your metabolism. Snack on fruits, instead of junk, and don't wait long periods of time to eat. If you don't eat often, your body thinks you are starving, and stores fat when you do eat. good luck with all that!

Well ys, it's bad! I mean, you'll probably lose some weight fast, but it'll be mostly water weight (Burning 1 pound of FAT is the same as burning 3500 calories). So what ahppens witht his diet is that you eat less calories, or the wrong type of ones, and lose water weight, your metabolism slooows doooown and when you return to your normal eating you gain weight.

Probably worse. You will likely just lose water if you are lucky. Which means it will come right back. That also means you are dehydrated (not good). 10 pounds shouldn't take very long with a healthy diet, excercise and hydration. My advice is be sensible, treat your body well.

it's bad for you but most of us have done it. It won't kill you but isn't the best way to lose weight as your body will fight you to put the weight back on. It's the body's defense mechanism to keep you from starving. A Crash diet makes your body think it's starving.

YES!
eat properly: try to eat five or six small meals a day and never miss breakfast (that screws up your metabolism)
eat things like egg whites, skinless chicken breasts, tuna for protein, potatoes, rice or pasta for carbs and try to eat five pieces of fruit a day for their vitamin content.
drink plenty of water (not caffeinated drinks or alcohol)
combine your healthy eating with at least one hour a day of exercise and you'll be well on your way to getting the shape you want. (don't get hung up on how much you weigh, muscle weighs more than fat, and it's the fat that you want to get rid of)
good luck

Sudden changes in your body are damaging. If you want to do it, you might take some tips from anorexics or bulimics, like not eating, exercising for several hours every day, taking laxatives and self-induce vomiting.
