Depending on where you live, you might be able to find specialty boutiques. Otherwise, if you are looking for club clothing, I would suggest dealing directly with clothing manufacturers/distributors, and researching specific items on the web.

You should look for places that specialize in club clothing and lifestyle. Record stores and body modification parlors are great sources of specialty clothing items. Maybe also check at your local adult bookstore. You never know what you might find there in the way of cool clothing. And, if you don't think it would be too obnoxious, you could always ask someone who is wearing something you like, where they do their shopping, too. Some people are more than happy to share this information.

That's what I do, outside of making my own clothing and doing my own tailoring. =)

Type in Plus Sizes Goth/punk clothing in Google. You'll probably have to resort to some online shopping. Do your searching and you'll find something! :P

And it doesnt always have to be Torrid and Hot Topic! You can look in Old Navy and other regular clothing stores and only buy black clothing and jewelry! You can also alter the clothes and ad your chains. Then you'd have the power to create your own unique clothes. :D It may take some extra effort, but Itall feel good knowing you own the only pair of those jeans! :P

Make your own - pick up pieces from thrift stores, and the like, and make changes to them, like adding zippers, and other accents.

Also, there are probably pieces in other stores that can easily fit one of your subcultures with a bit of changing - and everyone else across the country won't have them. ;)

Do you mean mainstream (thereby reducing your 'I'm not a follower' mindset to null, btw) walk-in stores, or do you mean where in general, because since you're asking this question ONLINE, I must assume that you know the use of a search engine.

For walk-in, try Alloy or dELiA*s (check your mall listing.)

Online, try: http://www.darklinks.com/dshops2.html
