My screen name is thanks to my grandmother and my high school French teacher.
My grandmother's nickname for me was Debo (Dee-Bo), and when I was in high school a friend of mine caught wind of this and started spreading it around. It didn't bother me, because that had always been my nickname. Anyway, when I started taking French (which by the way I only took because of a cute cheerleader I had a crush on, and I don't remember any of it now) my French teacher said Debo with a French accent, and it sounded - to me - like Duh-Bo.
So I changed the spelling from Debo to DeBeaux, and decided to use it as my "stage name" (I used to be a disc jockey and I tried to do stand up comedy when I was in my 20's) . . . Dave DeBeaux. Anyway, that's where DeBeaux comes from.
The 28 isn't as interesting . . . it was the jersey number I wore when I played baseball.
Anyway, that's how I came up with my name, DeBeaux28

Totally love Star Wars so I chose a Jedi name that inspires me. Not that the other Jedi's were any better, just have a sense that Obiwan Kenobi reminds me of a person who was a great teacher and mentor.
