Do you use LinkedIn? If so "how"?

I have a LinkedIn account as well as few contacts but i'm not sure what I should be doing with it. I mean what valuable effects did it produce on your carreer?

LinkedIn is great. I have developed and reconnected with a lot of lost connections. The thing that is great about LinkedIn is that it is used only by professionals and not some bunch of teenagers trying to kill their time
