What are some good schools for this? What are good majors? Or anything else you know!!

The salary is good, depends on where you work, insurance is very high, being that you are the one that is putting someone out alot falls on you, you must monitor everything that is going on, such as blood pressure, respiration etc.
I would say it probably takes twelve years of school, you can probably do it in eight some places, but that would have to be a very speedy course.
And then you need to be tops in your field.

Anesthesiology is a great profession. As long as there are surgeries, there will be a need for them.
It's also a profession that is constantly changing, so continuing education is a must.
The salary is on the higher end of physicians salaries, but they also pay a higher malpractice insurance than most.
As an undergrad, you should major in one of the sciences, then medical school, then there is a lenghty residency program. You would need to start researching good places to do your residency very early on. Those positions are grabbed up fast.

It's a terriffic profession for many. Go to your library reference desk and look at their careers books (like an encyclopedia set except for jobs) to get the up and down sides, salary ranges, schooling required and levels of anesthesiologists.

An anethesiologist is a very well-paying and respectable profession, but it takes college and medical school, which can take a long time and be a lot of work.

it takes at least 8 years of schooling cuz u gotta go through undergraduate college and then medical school...but it pays good...more than $100,000 a year the least....but you have to pay off all of your medical school loans.......and you will be responsible for people's lives everyday

it pays pretty good(up to 250 dollars an hour) but you get sued alot.
