Absolutely. No matter how much talent he has, he counteracts those attributes with his selfishness. He never wanted to bat lead-off because he wanted to inflate his stats. A team player would have taken the spot to help a struggling team. He was coddled by management (which needs to go too) and he was never going to change. The Yankees are in a position to have Abreu on their team, the Phillies never had that luxury while he was here. Next up: Burrell, I'll gladly hold the door open for him.

The Yankees got the better of the deal in my opinion, as far as skill and the way it will help this for this season. However, for the Phillies, it was a good way for them to dump some of the money from the salary, and can now use that money towards building their team to be better. C.J. Henry was the Yankees #1 draft pick in 2005 and he has a lot of potential, which may benefit the Phillies down the road.

Lidle will fit in nicely with the yankee rotation. He will lose more than he wins and have an era around 6.00
