A few weeks back, i got to meet president Bush back in high school where he watched me and my classmates perform a science experiment. It got viewed all over the school through the classes' TVs.He seemed amused, but it seemed like Laura Bush knew more about it than he did. Eventhough i dont i dont agree with Bush's war on terror, social security plan, and other numerous issues, SURPRISINGLY Bush seemed to be a very nice person. Shocking isnt it ?! Even withall that security around, Bush seemed very friendly and kind of a likeable. I CANT BELIEVE I SAID THAT.
But even with this, i still wanted to ask him some hard questions in my mind. But i was told before the taping that if i ask Bush something that was not on the list (yes, there was a list) then i would be suspended. Bummer. I still wanted to ask but then i thought of my school and i saw it as more important and not worth risking. Besides its an honor to have him come to your school. IF YOU WERE TO MEET BUSH WHAT WILL YOU ASK HIM?

Are you going to a public or a private school, because if it is a public school it is illegal for them to tell students what they can and cannot ask the President. I would just ask him what I want to ask him. Probably something like "When did you first realize that there were no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and have you done anything since then to make sure that we don't use faulty intelligence again as a basis for going to war?"

If the school suspends me for that it's the school's problem. I would go straight to the newspaper with that, and stop by the ACLU on the way. If it's a public school you would have a good case, and even if not, both the school and the President would look stupid if you were suspended for asking an honest question.

In fact, you might want to contact a newspaper or some kind of a news blog or liberal group to tell them the story about the list of questions. They might be interested in that as something to write about.

The Bush administration is famous for controlling the media and public perception. It does not surprise me that his visit to the school is a carefully engineered event, so that he can look good and there will be no unpleasant surprises. I don't know if he is a nice person or not. A lot of people with evil policies are kind and charming human beings in person, and vice-versa. Presidents like LBJ and John F Kennedy were probably not very nice as people, but they were good leaders.

Keep in mind though that you were in a carefully orchestrated event designed to make the President look good, and he was on his best behavior. He loves kids and education, so he was probably having a good day. Maybe you were a bit starstruck. I'll bet in private when it's just him and Condi Rice deciding how to run the world there is a lot of cursing.

I think Bush probably has a wonderful personality, but then so do people that never graduate from high school. Aside from being nice, a president needs to have intelligence and skills to run a country, and I think Bush is lacking. I thought he was extremely good humored at the Fourth of July Gala at the Ford Theatre.

George W. Bush has a wonderful personality, and I know since I surprisingly met him in our county courthouse, and wasn't aware we were being televised. And Mr. Bush's intelligence is far above yours, and far above what the requirements of public office allow him to demonstrate to every individual who, like you, who think they're important enough to demand a personal conversation with the most powerful man on earth. Get your ego out of your question and you might sound intelligent enough to compose a question worthy of President Bush's consideration. God Bless you.

First of all, you can be nice but not smart and I would not want to meet or speak with a man that caused so much harm to America. You will see this as you get older and have to support yourself and vote!
