Ok! I had a really deep cavity and the dentist filled it about 2 weeks ago..... now it is like throbbing and hurting non-stop! What would you have done? Should I have it pulled or have a root canal?

You don't need to put off going to the dentist, these problems never get better, they only get worse. At your age I suggest a root canal, get to the dentist, now, if your mom has pain pills, take them or call your dentist, and she will prescribe some for you, and I am sure you need to be on an antibiotic. Take care of this NOW!...LOL..:)

Go to the dentist. They'll decide what you need to have done. You'll probably end up with a root canal though because I know a lot of dentists prefer that you keep your real teeth as long as possible.

This is really up to you but i will tell you that a root canal will hurt worse then what he already did to you. The pain will stop after a while. Make sure you have plenty of motrin to stop the pain. Try to find something that will take your mind off of the pain.
Good Luck and I hope the pain stops

That depends on 2 things, #1 where is the tooth? if it's in front bite the bullet (so to say) and save the tooth! #2 do you have the money? If you don't have the funds looks like pulling it would be the only viable option, much cheaper. Remember if you have it pulled later on you can have a fake one put in so it doesn't look so bad! Good Luck! :)

Well if you have enough money, you may want to try a root canal. But I know my one tooth, I had a root canal done to it before and my denist said he can try to save it, but he may have to pull it anyways.

I told him to go ahead and pull it. It cost a lot less just to have him pull it. Of course it wasn't that pleasant, but it was cheapter.

How are you treating the pain? Have you told the Dentist about the pain? What did she say? I would follow the advice of the Dentist.

You need to contact your dentist IMM and have him reexamine it it could be he left a air pocket in there or a section exposed or didn't get the whole cavety you don't mention your age but talk to your parents or if your older talk to the dentist directly and if it something he did wrong he should not charge you

Beat yourself in the head with a shoe. Preferably a stilleto. You will focus on the gaping wound in your now fractured skull, and you shouldn't even worry about your tooth. Now if you did this as soon as you read the first line, you are more than likely dead right now. So I figure now would be a good time to tell you that I was just kidding. You moron.
