We have the technology now, but I think we will have to undergo a major paradigm shift to overcome the current political barriers. If we survive the next 200 years and people really want to start over again elsewhere I believe we will do it. The first step will be colonizing the moon or Mars. There will be all sorts of laws governing people going into space, which will deter people from wanting to go. Then when people do decide to go and establish a colony they will wish to break ties with Earth governments which want to govern them. Of course there will be fights over what we're going to do on other planets and more fights over what we do when we get there. We might detsroy ourselves in an attempt to colonize, at least for the short term. It will be a tough row to hoe in either case. It depends on what our desire is as a people. I for one hope we make better worlds than what we have.

There is a great possibility that there are more than just one Earth in the universe.
One day...In the future...
We will have the chance to leave planet Earth and find the other planet likes earth(the conditions) to live there...

When it's no longer possible to live on Earth because it's an overpopulated garbage bin, then we will spread the filfth of our glorious humanity to the outer reaches of the solar system and beyond. Oh joy!

Well, people have already left the planet.....
And about leaving on other planets, probably yes. If not, we can a;ways do it in space stations.

As long as Global Warming doesn't stop us. Plus, we may be able to find a way in the future to live in space. People are working on it now.
