Think of all your interests & ask yourself if any of those could be expanded into a business. Just keep in mind...what's your expertise? What are your interests? What could you imagine yourself doing?

By researching the prospect of starting your own business -- what it entails, what you need to know, helpful hints, etc -- you'll feel better prepared to take that plunge.

I found some book titles that are relevant to your specific question:

If you want to start a legit business here are some tips and recommendations....

You do not need to invest alot you can then check out and research the various types of franchises out there and see which one suits you. Entrepreneur magazine and others of this type should lead you in the right direction. For example there is this one magazine called Success from Home.

Let me recommend what a lot experts have been saying. Get into Network Marketing. The reasons being are:

1- The Training - The good companies work with organization who will help you develop you knowledge in all aspects of your business and you before the product or service. This means time and energy will be invested on developing you and a person and business-owner vs pushing you to move products. Not to say that you shouldn't be moving products, that's why you're in business.

2- Developing a Network - In order to have a strong and prosperous business you need repeat business. These organizations of business owners will help you in the developing strong networks so that your business keeps moving forward.

3- Global Opportunities - No more do you have to limit your self to just you neighborhood with the advent of the Internet you now have access to a global marketplace. The larger companies and organizations can help you in expanding you business into the international arena if the opportunity arises for you.

4- Low Risk - Most companies have a low start-up investment
which means that you can work it on a part-time level until you are making enough to go full-time. So you don't have to quit your job or quit school. Also the highly reputable ones have a money-back guarantee.

Points -
1- You may of heard for people failing to succeed in this type of business most of it is attributed to some people fail to treat it like a business.

2-A business is a business and you won't get anything out of it if you don't put anything in it.

3- As a very wealthy man once told me "You have the ability to do want you want when you want". Be careful of who you take advice from, check to see how they are economically. Are they where you want to be or are they even going in that direction?

So keep up in doing your research and the best is yet to come.

My recommendation is Quixtar. They're a 6-billion dollar company. I've dealt with some of the people before. Lovely people. What I like is that they have a wide variety of products and services to offer so a person is not limited to just one or two things. Also they also seem to be on the cutting edge of product technology.

BurnLounge--have your own personalized online music store. Invite family, friends or anyone to browse, sample and buy music. I have a store at http://burnlounge.com/mlbliss and I enjoy doing this!!

BurnLounge is a fantastic new deal on the internet! They just started in November 2005 and have grown quite rapidly since. They have music sites now, but will be adding ringtones, movies, DVDs, video games, concert tickets, audio books and other things later.

They also allow new (or old) musicians the opportunity to distribute their music with them. And last but not least, they offer people the opportunity to have their own online music stores. BurnLounge is contracted with the top 4 music marketing labels, which makes everything they have online LEGAL to download.

If you would like more information, please feel free to send me an email and I will do what I can to help you.

My site is http://burnlounge.com/mlbliss and you can also research them at http://corp.burnlounge.com and http://help.burnlounge.com
