I've never used flea sprays, so I can't say anything about them. From what you say though, the product isn't very effective.
Arm and Hammer puts out a powder that's great for killing fleas, and flea eggs. Sprinkle it on your carpet and furniture, let it sit at least 20 minutes, then vacuum it up. And keep vacuuming every day for at least 2 weeks so you can be sure to catch newly-hatched fleas as well. If you can't find a flea-killing powder, use Borax or powderred laundry detergent the same way. Make sure to vacuum under the furniture too, in case fleas are hiding there.
Good luck!

Vacuum...Vaccuum...vacuum... and more vacuum. I had the same problem as you, my inside cat decided to take an adventure out the front door one morning when I was leaving in a rush for work. I didnt notice he left. When I got him back in the house he was covered with fleas. After about a week, so was my house. There is a product you can buy at the vets office, it is about $18.00 called Knockout. You spray it like hairspray and the fine mist will cover everything. This stuff has a growth regulator in it. You will still notice some small fleas in your house but they will not be able to grow into biting adults. After you spray leave the house for about 2 hours and then come back and vacuum EVERYTHING. If it is covered with fabric it must be vacuumed. Mop your bathroom and kitchen floors with bleach. Rewash all of your bedding in super hot water as well as any clothes that were not in drawers or closets. One last tip. Throw all of the items that need to be washed into the laundry room and the fleas will concentrate there. I took a pair of my husbands knee socks and wore them while I was doing laundry so the little pests couldnt bite my ankles. You will notice fewer and fewer fleas but you must continue to vacuum and mop your floors daily. I really hope this helps and trust me, you are not alone. This is a horrible year for bugs.

My Kids were great for "Look what followed me home!" and ,"Can I keep it?"
So the things I am thinking come from experience.
First, maybe, you did not have enough bombs for the area of your house. That is very important, so re-read the label and may be try again.
Second, you can use Avon, skin so soft, on the youngest child, and for some reason it seems to be a good and safe insect repellent. That way even with some fleas still remaining he will not get bit.
Third, and kidding, get an adult male human, fleas think they are no different than other animals.,and maybe the fleas will bite him and leave you and your baby son alone!

Ok, here goes....I have a lot of remedies.
Dawn Dish-washing Liquid- to kill fleas in carpeting pour 1 table spoon of Dawn into 16 oz spray bottle, fill rest of bottle with water and spray the carpets, upholstery and floors. the soap dries up the insects killing them almost instantly. after 15 min. wipe floors with damp cloth ( or mop) and vacuum the carpets.
Lysol- Spray the carpet and upholstery with Lysol disinfectant spray. the antiseptic kills fleas. repeat the following day to kill any newly hatched eggs.
Morton Salt- Sprinkle salt on carpets, let sit for at least three hours or longer, and vacuum thoroughly.
All these methods work, I have used them all at different times. I personally like the salt method best. I looked for remedies that would not harm children when my daughter was very young, and I continue to use them today. I hope this helps you.

Dawn dish liquid will kill fleas in your puppy and is moderate. If the fleas are coming out of your backyard you may also must deal with the backyard, most likely seven dirt works good however dont dirt your puppy even though. Dont use any over-the-counter therapy its a waste of cash. If simply washing your puppy and treating the backyard doesnt hold fleas down you'll be able to get a place therapy. frontline or advantix, frontline works not up to two weeks for my puppies. there also are selfmade flea repellents? im now not certain in the event that they paintings however theres a few hyperlinks underneath.

you should have kept the kitten and went to the vet and bought advantage or revoloution flea drops, you still can get the flea drops, put on your socks , whole family, and that should get to the fleas fast, if you had put it on the kitten you would be flea free in days. sad you didnt ask faster, none of those sprays and stuff from walmart work, you have to use the vet dispensed flea drops.

Ya you should have kept the cat to use it as bait. You could have gone to the vet and got Frontline or advantage so when the fleas bit it they would die. Now they are just going to be attracted to your family. Good luck.

it might not be cheap, but trust me, having had a flea problem once before in the past, it was worth every penny, and then
some. call a pro. nothing beats a professional exterminater.
