I'm in my first trimester and I feel incredibly tired! Really I feel like my legs and arms weigh a ton! What causes this?? Is it because I'm eating too much or is it normal?
(Today I ate: 2 egg whites, 2 tortillas, 1 strip of bacon, a peach, a pear, and 2 hot dogs) (Yikes! That's a LOT lol, but is that the cause of my extreme fatigue?)

The baby is growing and needing alot of vitamines. So he or she is taking them from you. Take your vitamine and eat right it will get better.

Usually during the first trimester and again as it gets closer to the due date you get really tired. It has nothing to do with what you are eating (and what you had doesn't seem like all that much).

What is happening is, your body is going through a lot of changes right now. It's preparing a place for your baby to grow. The muscles have to relax some so they can stretch and hold the baby and the amniotic fluid. Your body is producing the amniotic fluid, and it is also pumping blood and nutrients, along with oxygen to the baby too, not just you.

The baby is growing and forming every day and it's from rapidly multiplying cells...it takes a lot of work to multiply those cells and the energy comes from you!

Not all this "growing" is the baby or the uterus. Your breasts are changing too. They usually get larger and the milk ducts have to be going through a changing process also.

You may find as it gets closer to the due date, your body will not only be tired, but it will ache, as if you've been doing tons of sit-ups or walked for miles and miles. That's because the joints of your body will start to relax some so that they can "stretch" to allow the baby to come out.

If you have a great concern about it, make sure to talk with your doctor or nurse about it. Never be afraid to call and ask them questions. That is what they are there for and what you pay them for.

Try to have all your questions (the ones that aren't emergency ones) written on a piece of paper when you go in that way you won't be missing any of them when trying to think what else you wanted to ask. It saves a lot of time and will help you by not forgetting one question you had. Most docs actually like when you write them down because it usually saves time too.

Good luck. Try to rest when you can and keep those feet up when you can. This tiredness will go away soon, but be ready for it to come back.

(in this heat it's even harder not to be tired for everyone...especially someone pregnant. Try to stay out of the heat as much as possible and make sure to stay hydrated!)
good luck!

First - teens want extra sleep than they feel they do. Possibly up to 10-14 hours of sleep. Try getting extra if you'll be able to. That mentioned, to get up and look extra alert do the next: one million. When you first rise up, spend no less than 20-half-hour on aerobic activity. Get your frame relocating and your center pumping. two. At the tip of your bathe within the morning, transfer the water to be less warm. This will refresh and revitalize you. three. Make definite you're consuming good for the period of the day. Plenty of entire grains, and culmination and greens. Don't disregard the protein despite the fact that, teens (notably men at your age) are developing and want greater than an common grownup. four. You might wish to keep in mind a multivitamin if you're now not definite you're getting up to you must of a few vitamins and minerals. Look for ones that experience plenty of B nutrients, however no more than one hundred% of the day-to-day allowance.

Fatigue in early pregnancy is very normal. Your body is working harder now that it ever has to grow a baby! It's working as hard as if you were climbing a mountain or running a marathon!

It's because your body is using up your energy to ensure the baby is given all its nutritional needs. It's very normal. I doubt it's your diet. It doesn't sound like you're eating too much refined carbs or sugar, so you're probably okay in that department.

Your body is adjusting to creating a new human being inside you... of course you're going to be tired :)

Listen to your body... if you need to sleep don't feel guilty for taking a nap... in a few more months you won't have that luxury :)
