They could do very well, as long as injuries don't kill them like they did last season. Yao looks healthy, hopefully McGrady's back problems won't be as bad as they were last season. They have a good supporting cast, so they should be able to grab one of the 5-8 spots in the playoffs.

They can contend for the western conference title and possibly the NBA Title. They will move back Tracy to his natural position which is the 2. Here is what their starting lineup should be

C Yao Ming
PF Steve Novak
SF Shane Battier
SG Tracy McGrady
PG Rafer Alston

That is a very good roster complete with shooting( T-Mac, Alston, Novak, Battier) Rebounding (Yao and Novak) Driving (T-Mac) Passing( T-Mac and Alston) and Defense( T-Mac, Yao, Battier)

They did not make any dramastic moves this offseason, last season the team was killed with injuries, if they can get a few more players this offseason i think they will be pretty good, i can see them in the playoffs by the 2007-2008 season...because they need more experince

It all depends on McGrady's back. If he can play 70 games, they are a 4 or 5 seed in the West. Battier will help a lot, he can shoot and defend on the perimeter. They still need to fill out their bench.

they traded RUDY GAY. he couldve been the pippen to mcgrady. they still pretty much have the same team with the same loser coach....yao will be mediocure again(i only say that bc a guy with his natural abilities should be averaging 30 and 15rbs) and tmac will play at most 3/4 of the season bc of injuries

Actually they can do better, Yao & T. Mac are both powerful and skillful players. Hopefully they can have chemistry reaction this season and less injury.

I guess they can attend playoff but that's it.
