The truth only hurts those that are raised and believe in the "Victim" mentality. It is your fault for telling them a truth they did not want to hear. This hurt will subside once they learn to be responsible for themselves and quit being a "Victim".
A lie never stops hurting. It destroys the single most important "Value" we, humans, have. "TRUST"! Once trust is lost, it never returns. The old saying that trust can be gained back, is a bunch garbage. Once a person loses your trust, you will never trust them again.
My parent were absolutely correct when they taugh me "Your word is your bond"!

Truth may hurt a little more, but in the end, the lie is going to hurt BADLY!! Truth will set you free. It's always better to tell the truth, then to lie!

A lie, especially if I know that it's a lie when I hear it because if I consider a person to be my friend, I trust them and if I know that they are lying, I can't trust them anymore. I expect lies from others but not from my very few friends.

It is very important that a true friend tells you what is the truth, no matter how it will hurt. Say it and then be there for them after... that's what a true friend does.

yea if someone lies to me, im losing trust in them and not wanting to be around them. telling the truth hurts but i could deal with it because least the person isnt covering it up to make me feel better.
