Right now, 'Bennie & the Jets' by Elton John is on the radio. I haven't liked it when it first came out, and still don't like it because I can't understand anything he's singing about except the chorus.
Some friends are surprised because this song is supposed to be some kinda masterpiece.
I say "Phooey; a masterpiece is something one can understand".

I'm not talking about foreign languages. If the song is in English, I should be able to understand it.
And, I'm talking about just the words, not the meaning behind any song.

Hehehe...what about "Louie, Louie"? And don't get me started on rap and hip-hop. I do like "Bennie and the Jets" though. Is it that you don't understand the words that Elton is singing or you don't understand what the song is about?? I tend to not listen to music which I do not know the lyrics, but if it's got a good beat I'll give it a listen and learn the lyrics.

The bizarre facet in this does not sign in. People regularly add on youtube soundtracks of anime to be listened to and the studios that make the anime regularly unlock the OST's as cd's accurately for individuals to shop for and pay attention to. How on this planet might being attentive to anime soundtracks potentially be bizarre? Also, announcing that it is bizarre for the reason that you are black is self-discrimination. I'd comprehend if any individual else mentioned it used to be bizarre for a black individual to hear anime soundtracks, however you announcing it your self or even pondering it might be bizarre for anybody to hear anime soundtracks, are almost always the one matters which are truthfully bizarre on this case.

Yeah, Seal does that to me all the time. I'll also listen to Enya and Andrea Bocelli occasionally, and they'll often sing in different languages. The foreign languages don't bother me, but I feel like a goof when I'm babbling random phrases trying to sing with Seal. Yikes.

Yes I do. I don't have a specific genre of music that I listen to, I enjoy any type of music that has a good beat. I love Sean Paul's songs cause they're full of them, I can't understand a word he usually says in there. Maybe the title, but that's probably as far as i t goes.

Do you know what I hate? Liking a song but not being able to sing along to it 'cause you don't know the words and then you sound like a right ape if somebody walks past and just so happens to hear you and it doesn't help if your in the shower..........
