You can get more education in economics for work in the business world. You can get more education in history and teach. If you already have a degree in either of these, there are schools that offer courses limited to pre-med requirements (mainly science and some math)
Good luck!

I wish I had the answer for you. The best thing I would suggest is talking with a counselor to determine what careers are presently operating with a degree in Economics or History. You have already eliminated teaching (which is what I would have suggested). Believe it or not - many students attend college and struggle with a career long after they have graduated. I have a friend who studied History - and went into law. I have another friend who received her teaching credentials and taught elementary education for 5 years- and then decided she wanted to be a doctor. She didn't have very much in terms of courses that prepared her - it was a whole new career with new courses. But she did it. When you know you want medicine, it's wise to take courses that surround the maths, sciences, etc. but they are not necessary. The best thing you can do is consult a college counselor- read materials from the library about careers.

Undergrad degrees in Econ or History are virtually useless by themselves. I would suggest majoring in Biology or Anatomy or some other science and becoming a doctor (assuming you are truly interested in that) An Econ or History degree can be used to go to law school too, but by themsleves they're pointless.

If you choose those undergrad majors, be sure to have a lot of biology and chemistry, perhaps even a double minor, and they will be good for med school. Med schools like students with majors that are out of the mainstream, as long as they have the prerequisite sciences to go with them.
