Yes it is worth it in my opinion. They charge you an initial insertion fee (which isn't much at all). But where they get you is they nickle and dime you for using their "special listing features" (like bold, italic, underline, extra pictures, etc...). This is all optional of course... But then they charge you a "final selling fee" after your item has sold. They do it all in percentages and they go into detail about it on their Ebay FAQ section. But no, it's not like they're robbing you. All in all it's a great way to get rid of your stuff while making money. I guarantee you'll make a whole lot more money going through Ebay than a yard sale, or pawn shop, etc... Hope that helps.

I've been ebaying for a number of years. I'm not going to completely candy coat it for you: There are up front fees (usually less than a dollar) and there is a bit of a learning curve to the ebay system as well. Plus, you may not get as much for your items as you would like.
HOWEVER, with a little research on ebay, you can see what similiar items are selling for and decide if you are will to put forth the effort to make similiar profits on your items.
In the end, you may decide to just visit a pawn shop, take them to a local auction house, or -depending on where you live- there may be a "sell your stuff on ebay" store in your city. Search the online yellow pages for ebay inyour area.

i think its worth it, but it also depends on how popular your item is. I usually search something similar to the item I am selling and see how much theres is going for. If that item is selling well, i'd start selling also. Usually, people also like new stuff or something rare.
I dont think its a total hassal, theres a step by step process of doing it and yes, there is an insertion fee, its 0.30 cents, and extra if you want to add more auction days, pictures....
Oh and you pay the fee within a month.

Sometimes, yeah. You would be surprised what people are willing to pay for things you think are just crap. Then sometimes the things you think are crap, really are just crap. It is a real hassle to start up, but once tha't over, you will enjoy it a lot. Many people use it as a regular source of income on the side.
