I never support any war!! I would prefer to see diplomatic solutions to problems between nations because it always seems that both sides feel they are right. So, no, I support neither Israel nor Lebanon in this. I particularly abhor when attacks against another country result in the deaths of innocent civilians and especially children!! This is completely unconscionable to me. These are noncombatants who may not even know what the fighting is about. I cannot believe that anyone would condone the killing of innocent children!!! Humanitarian aid from the US is a good and noble cause - nothing more. I see that Israel turned down a UN request for a cease fire, saying that they had opened a humanitarian corridor so aid can reach Lebanon, but this is not sufficient. My prayer is always - Let there be peace on Earth and let it begin with me!!

The people of Israel already know what its like to have
kids and family being killed the same way by bombing (rocketing, suicide bombers) and burning like what happened in Qana - Lebanon. Where did you miss that. They were not the first attackers. Hezbollah is part of Lebanon's government and hide among the people. Why would we support them? Well...
Hezbollah established its terrorist bona fides in the 1980s by kidnapping some 50 foreigners in Lebanon, including 18 U.S. citizens, and killing two of them, notably CIA station chief William Buckley. The group's global reach was achieved perhaps in 1985 with a suspected connection to the saga of TWA Flight 847, in which hijackers shot dead a U.S. Navy diver and dumped him onto a Beirut tarmac. In 1992 Hezbollah bombed the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires, killing 29, and, in 1994, a Jewish cultural center there, killing 95.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah arranged for the kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers on July 12, which is what led to the current crisis.
You should know that the Israelis all ready know what its like to lose children and families. Hezbollah had already seen to that.

I think people believe that if Hezbollah gained Israel’s territory that they would be happy and all the terrorist conflict would end there. I know this is not the case. Terrorist Muslims hide behind a cloak of religion whilst they seek to gain ultimate world power. The Koran states that Allah cannot return until the world is cleansed of all infidels (anyone who does not believe in Allah). You start to get a understanding of why they hate the rest of the non-Muslim world when you read the tenants in the Koran and the Hadiths.I read more militant rhetoric in the Koran and Hadiths than I ever heard or read in my eight years active duty in the Army. These Muslim holy books call for them to do all that you have seen the terrorists doing in the last 50 years. It should not be a surprise to anyone that they are doing what they’re bible and Muslim clerics tell them to.Isreal is just a speed bump and the rest of the world is the mission. If you don’t believe that the average Muslim agrees with the terrorist’s actions then explain to me why they were dancing in the streets after 9/11.Good day to all of you, and may our future generations never have to endure the scourge of religious tyranny in the future

Give up Hezbollah and Israel will stop. It is that simple, don't cry now that you called for war and now you are getting it. Give up Hezbollah so your people could live in peace. Why are you so blinded by the obvious reason why you are suffering so much. If Israel stop fighting Hezbollah then they will continue to terrorize the world. That is exactly why I am supporting Israel to end terror. I don't want to have any of my kids and family bombed and if Israel leave now without ending Hezbollah's hold on Lebanon, then it will all be for nothing. Hezbollah will continue to fight and this will never end and it will spread to my end of the world. You have the power to do something about your situation, so do it. Denounce Hezbollah and give them up to authorities, don't allow them to hide amongst you. You must see that doing this is putting yourselves in danger.

Devil lives in Israel! Actually, they have this crazy belief that this land is theirs, even though their messiah hasn't come yet and they cannot claim it as their land until he comes. So technically, they shouldn't even be there. The only reason they're still alive is because the US backs them up. Otherwise, the Germans or the Arabs would have wiped them off the face of this earth. They're horrible people. They bombed hospitals, escape roads, airports, bus stations. They bombed civilians trying to escape in cars and buses, and they bombed a PREDESIGNATED UN PEACEKEEPING LOOKOUT! All that over two soldiers? Yes, I must admit that Hezb-allah is retaliating, but what would you do if bombs are being dropped over your head. You'd fight back any way you can.

The Qana tragedy
National Post
Published: Monday, July 31, 2006

On Sunday, the Israeli Air Force launched missiles at the Lebanese town of Qana, killing at least 54 civilians, most of them children. It was a horrible tragedy, one that unleashed understandable fury among the people of Lebanon, and sincere expressions of regret among Israeli political and military officials.

Some are calling this a war crime, and they're right. But the culpable party is Hezbollah, not Israel.

While it was Israeli planes that launched the missiles, these attacks did not materialize out of thin air. Since this conflict began on July 12, about 150 rockets have been fired from the vicinity of Qana, with the launchers hidden among civilian targets in the town itself. Speaking to reporters on Sunday evening, Israeli Air Force Chief of Staff Brig.-Gen. Amir Eshel produced video footage showing the launchers being driven into Qana following fusillades.

For Hezbollah, this is a clever tactic. If Israel doesn't attack Hezbollah's human shields, the group keeps its weapons. If Israel does attack, Hezbollah scores a propaganda victory. From a terrorist's point of view, it's win-win: Hezbollah's leaders don't care about the lives of innocent Lebanese civilians any more than they care about the lives of Jews.

The global community shouldn't let Hezbollah get away with this cynical, deadly game. In its primer on the current conflict, Human Rights Watch (hardly a pro-Israeli outfit) makes it clear which side is guilty of war crimes in Qana: "Hezbollah must take all necessary precautions to protect civilians against the dangers resulting from armed hostilities, and must never use the presence of civilians to shield themselves from attack. That requires positioning its military assets, troops and commanders as much as possible outside of populated areas. The use of human shields is a war crime."

It also bears mention that Israel has done its best to separate Hezbollah from those human shields. On Thursday, three days before the deadly Qana attack, Israeli military radio broadcast repeated warnings into southern Lebanon telling residents their villages would be "totally destroyed" if missiles were fired from them. On Saturday, a day before the attack, Israeli planes dropped leaflets containing the same message.

In many cases, civilians had difficulty acting on these warnings, because Israeli air-strikes on roads made the journey north too difficult and risky. But most people have gotten out. And no reasonable observer can accuse the Israelis of deliberately targeting civilians (as Hezbollah has been doing for three weeks now). If Israel really were seeking to exterminate Lebanese civilians, the body count would be well into five figures.

Nothing that we or anyone else write will ease the agony wrought in Qana and the many other places -- on both sides of the Lebanese-Israeli border -- where innocents have perished. But mercifully, we in Canada are not in that situation. Our removal from the conflict gives us the ability to look beyond the immediate carnage, and examine the deeper intentions of the parties to this war. And according to both civilized morality and international law, it is not Israel that has the blood of innocents on its hands, but Hezbollah.

Wake up and quit being so stupid! Let me see it's alright for Israel to be ravaged by rockets and suicide bombers but let them defend themselves and they are the villains. They have given back land, made conncessions and for what good? To be attacked some more. Lebanon should step up and take control of their country like get rid of hezbollah and hamas and all this crap would not be taking place! How about if the terrorists would quit using civillan neighborhoods to fight from and hide like the cowards they are. They are using the people for human shields so what should Israel do ? Not fight but give in to terrorists? I pray they do what ever it takes to defeat their enemies and defend themselves.

Here I am not supporting hezbolla but its the answer to one of the replies to this question. if oyu give them almost the same weaponery they will fight to death like they have been doing with that so called rockets/missel. then Isreal wouldn`t be doing what it is doing right now.
