If Winnie the pooh was so civilized how come he kept his honey in jars and had a nice home but he ate honey off his hands instead of just using a spoon. Why?

Because he is beary beary cute. Stories have inconsistancies.. why not ask how he can talk? The magic of stories is that anything can happen.. (and usually does.) Enjoy the ride.
