There is a reason they call them strangers. They are strange.

I'd like to think so, because I've been honest with everyone I've met online, but I'll admit it wouldn't be my initial posture to arbitrarily trust everyone I meet online right off the bat (nor do I trust in this manner in my day-to-day life).I 'd caution everyone at all times to maintain a healthy skepticism until true trust can be established. No honest person would be offended by that. On the other hand, con men ( or women) have agendas and timetables for gaining one's trust; that's a red flag in and of itself.

No.Especially if you are a child.Beware.IF you are old enough, then talk but be careful. Some people are honest, but others are not.And unless you want to find out the hard way, take a friend with you to meet someone. Also, meet in public places. If possible,do background checks. It's really nice to trust people these days, but NOT to the point of you safety being jeopardized.

Hello from Paris
It's quite dangerous.Everyone has to be very careful. You have to see te person on webcam, and don't give him any information before you know him well.
This advice will be usefull for women, and also for men.
I'm living in Paris, and I met a girl from Colombia on the internet. I'm going to meet her for real at the end of August in her country, as I spend some holidays on the Cartagena beach. She says she loves me, and I suppose I love her, but we need to meet at last for real, and then we know if it's right or wrong...Maybe I'm doing a mistake,I don't know...She had some trouble there, that's why she asked me to send her some help money. I did it, and I can't help myself doing it again, because I feel something strong inside of my heart...Next I will know what happens ...Maybe a nice love story, maybe friendship, maybe some serious troubles with dangerous guys in this city I've never been before...
I hope this story will help you understanding a little bit of this question...Be carefull...
Bye bye !

No one is safe when your on-line.. So when your talking to some one don't tell them to much about you. If they try to pry change the subject.. If that don't work tell them you have to go.. But if the subject is some thing you know about try to help them.. You may find that this could be a good Friend.. I treat everyone as if I meet them on the street. Be nice, and your self with out disclosing to much of your self.. If you think about it before you meet your friends you have now you were playing it safe about what you tell them until you got to know them, so its the same when your on-line... Anyone can be anything Just be careful...

You have to trust your own judgment with each person that you talk to on line. You might talk to 100 people on here before you do run into one that is for real. You have just got to be very care full at all times. Follow your gut instinct.

Be very very careful. Don't reveal personal details, banking details or e-mail or telephone. Use an alias.
No, you cannot trust most people....Online attracts a strange bunch of people, including criminals.
