Okay... here's the first "hand written" instruction on a fitted sheet. I will tell you like my own mother told me.

Place your sheet on a flat surface.
Bring one corner to the other.
Same with the leftover corner.
As if you had a flat sheet, it should be folded in half.
If you have done all this correctly, you should see a folded sheet with the fitted corners sharing the same cuff like two spoons sitting in your kitchen drawer.

CORNERS: The seam inside the corners should meet evenly so it lies flat.

Now grab one corner and head to the other, so that all 4 corners fit nicely into each other. The two you bring over have to be turned slightly so that the 4 corners are like 4 spoons sitting in your kitchen drawer.
Once this is done as if laying on a flat surface and notice it will have a slight angle because of the way the corners had to be placed together, you should have a short side and a long side instead of an even sheet look.

Now lift up the 4 corners corner and bring it until the sheet has an even edge. I suggest taking the 4 corners corner and lift it until it meets the top on the right. (if that is too far... bring it back but keep it even with the side wall)

Once this is done, you should have a rectangle because of the extended being lifted to meet the top on the right.

Now cross the left short end over to the short right end and you should have a small square.

Extra: If you do not want a square, manipulate from the beginning. Once you have all 4 corners over your fist, flattened the sheet on a flat surface - begin from there. Doesn't matter what part you take to flip (who's going to see the inside once it's in the cupboard) just make sure it's even

YES! Get it and try to lay it out flat. on each corner, there is a seam that come together to make a tiny little point. Get each POINT on the corners and fold the sides down lining up with the corners. (the actual meeting of the seams, not the rounded "corner") This will amke a rectangle and you can just fold like normal then. It is really hard to explain in words. I still ahve to think about it when I am doing it. I was sooooooooo excited when I learned how to do this b/c I HATE the messy ball that I used to have when I folded fitted sheets. Ask an older person like a grandma how- I bet $$$ they know the PROPER way!!!

It's harder to explain than to do but I'll try:
Slip one hand into the corner of the sheet. Take the opposite corner and flip it over the one in your hand. Do the same on the other side. This will now be in a flattened position and can be folded as you would any flat surface.

The way I learned this was when I bought a new sheet I made special note of how it was folded in the package.

Yes. First you must fold the sheet in half. Making sure you tuck the elastic stretch parts into one another. Then fold the sheet into thirds. Making sure the stretchy part is at the top. And then the thirds in half.

Yes it can be done. I get all the corners together, one within the other side, and then proceed to fold it to the size I want. Or you can always do it Martha's way as tnladi said. It's like everyone else says really.

Probably not by yourself. If you have a second person, however, you each can grab two corners, pull the sheet taut, line up the edges, and then fold it by walking toward each other. My mom taught this to me when I was young - helping her fold the laundry was one of my chores.

yup. You have to lay the sheet down on a clean table and turn half of the sheet inside out. Take the 'inside out corners' and tuck them INSIDE the 'right side out corners' then smooth it flat. once you have done that it is easy to fold as a flat sheet.

Megan F. has the right idea...once you make the corners "fit together" you can figure it out about how to fold the rest of it to make it the right size to fit in your closet
