I am not in no way justifying terrorism i.e. Hezbullah bombing Israel or Hamas attacking Israel, etc. Aren't there other reasons for anger toward Israel other than "They want to destroy Israel," asked by Fox News reporters, "They are violent and irrational" or "Criticism of Israel equals a support for Hezbullah or Hamas"? Aren't there other reasons than the questions stated above for people's anger towards Israel? Why doesn't the U.S. media or any analyists here in the States give reasons for why there is constant anti-Israeli sentiment in the world? The BBC shows and tells why anger toward Israel is growing, so why doesn't the U.S. do the same?

mo loubani and mo rashad need to reevaluate their "facts". The reason there is anti-Israel sentiment in the world is because the Jews are what the rest of the world wishes they were....the apple of God's eye.

People have been trying to answer this question since the State of Israel was established in 1948. How high is high? Why do you like some people and not others?

Some argue that Israel doesn't deserve to exist because it was created by a political decree. Others say that before Israel came along the area was a swampy wasteland that Palestinians had done nothing with and has now been turned into a productive, fertile land. Still others say that Israel is a great decoy for neighboring Arab nations who are happy to see Palestinians and Israelis fighting each others, and deflecting attention from their own human rights and jurisdictional abuses. Finally, there's the old Anti-Semitic perspective where Jews aren't wanted anywhere in the world.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the answers you get, but I doubt that any definite answer exists, because this is a problem without a solution.

The reason news sources aren't giving any other "why the world hates Israel explanations? Because it is understood. It has been for thousands of years. The Jewish people have consistently been the most trod-upon people in history. Read the Bible, read almost any book of Middle Eastern history, read about the Holocaust, and you will understand. Israelis were given most of what is Iraq, all of Palestine, and a few other countries I can't recall at the moment, by GOD. The reason they react so aggressively? Because they cannot let their guard down or they would be annihilated from the face of the earth. They are a very small country. Most other nationalities there think that the Israelites are below them, that they should be slaves. They just couldn't stand God choosing a group of people that they considered below themselves to be his chosen. Then there were those plagues waged against Israel's oppressors...

Like what, they occupied my land and killed my people. Look around that happens in all countries. Someone is always the underdog, it takes more courage to look the other way and not take revenge just because you can. Is forgiving and moving on so hard, and was pushing a fight with Israel really necessary. It doesn't make you mortars in the worlds eyes, it makes you look like weak children. Tit for tat. How unnecessary. Is everything permissible beneficial, obviously not because look at the state of Lebanon now. What about the children do they deserve what happened to Lebanon because Hezbollah couldn't just move on after Israel ended their occupation of Lebanon land. Can you justify Hezbollah's actions, why don't you stand up and denounce them?, isn't is obvious that they are not gaining you much sympathy.

Fox News is pro-Israel and BBC is more fair in reporting the news. The US is pro-Israel no matter what Israel does to others, so of course they don't want the American people to hear the truth about Israel. All these problems are not simply the fault of the Arabs and Muslims. How can it have gotten this big without Israel and the US committing crimes and atrocities as well?

Because there cover has blown. They are not the good moral deomocracy loving country they claim they are. They hate Arabs. Did you know that they practice a system of apartheid in their country.? Did you know they routinely practice torture and are on several human rights lists? Unfortunately we live in a world where is Isreal is allowed act with impugnity and get away with it. because of support from the U.S. Until that stops Israel will go on doing what it does meanwhile claiming it is the victim. Have you noticed how hard it is to legitimatel criticis Israel without because accused of being anti semitic?

i love the justification that israel has been a nation for thousands of years and it wasnt until 1948 that wanted it back so therefore everyone else should leave and give it to them because if thats ok for israel to do than i figure the native americans here in the US have the same right to do so too. maybe the Mohigans can start bombing NY it all fair and reasonable.and by the way stop watching fox news but if you want to watch fox then watch this video called "OUT FOXED" you can download it for free here

Israel armed by army of cyber-soldiers
From Yonit Farago in Jerusalem

WHILE Israel fights Hezbollah with tanks and aircraft, its supporters are campaigning on the internet.
Israel’s Government has thrown its weight behind efforts by supporters to counter what it believes to be negative bias and a tide of pro-Arab propaganda. The Foreign Ministry has ordered trainee diplomats to track websites and chatrooms so that networks of US and European groups with hundreds of thousands of Jewish activists can place supportive messages.

In the past week nearly 5,000 members of the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS) have downloaded special “megaphone” software that alerts them to anti-Israeli chatrooms or internet polls to enable them to post contrary viewpoints. A student team in Jerusalem combs the web in a host of different languages to flag the sites so that those who have signed up can influence an opinion survey or the course of a debate.

Jonny Cline, of the international student group, said that Jewish students and youth groups with their understanding of the web environment were ideally placed to present another side to the debate.

“We’re saying to these people that if Israel is being bashed, don’t ignore it, change it,” Mr Cline said. “A poll like CNN’s takes just a few seconds to vote in, but if thousands take part the outcome will be changed. What’s vital is that the international face of the conflict is balanced.”

Doron Barkat, 29, in Jerusalem, spends long nights trawling the web to try to swing the debate Israel’s way. “When I see internet polls for or against Israel I send out a mailing list to vote for Israel,” he said. “It can be that after 15 minutes there will be 400 votes for Israel.

“It’s very satisfying. There are also forums where Lebanese and Israelis talk.”

Israel’s Foreign Ministry must avoid direct involvement with the campaign but is in contact with international Jewish and evangelical Christian groups, distributing internet information packs.

Amir Gissin, the Israeli Foreign Ministry’s public relations director, said: “The internet’s become a leading tool for news, shaping the world view of millions. Our problem is the foreign media shows Lebanese suffering, but not Israeli. We’re bypassing that filter by distributing pictures showing how northern Israelis suffer from Katyusha rocket attacks.”

I really don't understand why it seems everyone is against the Jewish people. Seems like they have never been allowed to live in peace. And I don't understand why everything that goes wrong in this world is America's fault. What if we hated all the people that come to our country? I think that our ACLU and some of our media has been taken over by the wrong people and they are using it against us now. I feel sorry for the people in Israel, and all the innocent people in all the other countries that can't live in peace.

Did you see what happened in Qana - Lebanon and did see the small kids being killed by cold blood - savage ISRAEL - and it is not the first time since 1948. Keep watching all news media except the US media which is moved by Israely people and you will know - if you are human enough - why you should hate Israel which is the one who is doing HOLOCAUSTS

I you are interested in history, even in Biblical times this hatred was evident. The Iraelites were forced into bondage by Egypt and Babylon. After that time they were scattered all over the world and met hatred in most places they settled in. That hatred was the stimulation needed to gain their own country, which took place in 1948. They have been under attack ever since establishing a home country. 3 wars and then attacks by terrorists.. still continues to this day. Look at what happened in this country, after only 1 very severe attack... 9/11... and we had known as early as 1998 that we were in the sights of terrorists... How much does a country have to undergo before it steps out to defend itself?

Devil lives in Israel! Actually, they have this crazy belief that this land is theirs, even though their messiah hasn't come yet and they cannot claim it as their land until he comes. So technically, they shouldn't even be there. The nly reason they're still alive is because the US backs them up. Otherwise, the germans or the arabs would have wiped them off the face of this earth. They're horrible people. They bombed hospitals, escape roads, airports, bus stations. They bombed civilians trying to escape in cars and busses, and they bombed a PREDESIGNATED UN PEACEKEEPING LOOKOUT! All that over two soldiers? Yes, I must admit that Hezb-allah is retaliating, but what would you do if bombs are being dropped over your head. You'd fight back any way you can.
