if you have a white suit then add colour to it. not alot, bot a nice coloured dress top will look amazing. it also all depeneds on where you are wearing the white suit. if you are going out, then try lighter or wormer colours like pink, blue, green, orange... if you are staying in an office or going to an interview, something more profetional, then try darker or colder colours like green, red, brown, purple... you can also try black, but not gray.

Be careful eating at that banquet! You are brave! Ok, how about a deep blue tie, shirt, maybe matching loafers/shoes? I just think that a darker jacket might be appropriate. Have fun!

if it's a business dinner, I would not go with a white suit, you will stick out like a sore thumb unless you are in the deep south or florida!! better to go with grey suit. If it's not business then I would wear your white, counter it with a solid color shirt, ( royal blue?? green?, burgundy?) and a complementary patterned tie.. ( one that has colors that do not clash with shirt.)
Shoes shouls be light or Dark brown loafer type for casual and Spats(black and white old school) or black for more formal look.
