There are quite a few. I see them all the time. They're even planning on building a two-lane round about close to where I live in Oregon. The rules for round abouts in the U.S. is always enter the round about to the right and use your right signal light. Yeild to traffic already in the round about. To exit the round about use the right signal light and exit to the right. I was in a round about in a large city in Mexico once. The rules there were pretty much anything goes. If you aren't an aggressive driver you could be going around and around in the round about all day. There are about four or five lanes of traffic, except there are no lines on the road in the round about so it can be very confusing.

We have a few, I remember one in Lathem, N.Y. I have seen a few in Ohio...We usually call them "Traffic Circles". But we have so much territory over here compared to your ancient little cities that we don't have much need for them...yep lots of room to lay out a butt load of roads, not dumb, just no need..We also speak the wrong English....according to some...

It's a straight country...
The road layout was deisgned by the army, so as to transport troops quickly from one point to another... pretty neat!!
They have roundabouts in carparks etc...

The term "roundabout" is American and was adopted by the British in preference to their own word, "circus". Curiously, my American aunt was mystified by them when she visited here. "Gee! How do you know when to go?" she kept asking. I still wish I knew the answer!
