I'll turn 40 this year, and have never been married. Close several times, but then . . . one woman cheated on me, another developed a drug habit, another became verbally and physically abusive.
I've done my best to be a healthy, confident, dateable man . . . but when people treat me like some kind of loser because I don't have a ring on my hand yet, it dredges up all those bad memories, and I become defensive about being single. Some even think that I'm gay because I've never been married, which certainly isn't true.
I really think I am a good catch, but have just had some really lousy luck. What would be the best way for me to respond to people who are insensitive and immature to me about the marriage subject? It wouldn't do any good to give a 3-hour story about all of the women who've wronged me.

Just tell them that you haven't met the right one yet and you are still waiting for miss right to walk through your door at any time now and you just want it to be right.

marry me. just kidding what can you do get mad yell say some thing to them I bet you have done that but where did it get you. here. Don't say anything to them whats the use if you think they live a happy life. they might or might not but I bet you that they still have the same problems that you had with the other women's but they don't show it. or tell them that you are looking for Mrs right not Mrs right now, like they did. tell them that you want to marry someone for love and not for looking the part of being the married man.

Just tell them jealousy is a curse. Give them facts andd figures about the divorse rate.

First of all no matter what you was taught growing up.... VIOLENCE DOES SOLVE ALL PROBLEMS!
Second a man who doesn't get married is smart, for 3 reasons
1.whenever you get tired of looking at her you can drop her with no strings attached.
2.can always sleep with any woman you want.
3.extra money for yourself.
