It implies a finality ...and that's hard to accept when you love someone ....

Because it leaves you with an empty hollow feeling and your emotions are so totally involved in this whole scenario, it is so final! You actually may feel quite faint and ill at the same time. You are thinking that you may never see that person again so you are trying to cope with one of the worse hurts & pain immaginable! That's why saying goodbye is so hard to handle!

Either because at the time it occurs it is known it will be a final parting or because sometimes partings turn out to be permanent when it is never planned or imagined they ever could or would be.
We are a very social species. Longing after or anxiety over the absence of someone we love, value and/or need is natural and normal.

it shouldn't ever be said. I think that people like the idea of saying goodbye, but know deep within themselves that it makes no difference whether they do or not. On some level.

It also depends on the situation, but generally speaking, I choose to never say it. You never know when this is the last time and such..........

So, all round, steer clear of it. It cannot be handled, even by the strongest people because we, as humans, become so attached emotionally, and phsyically to people, animals, things.....

Please give me 10 points, i need them

All of life is "hello" and "Good bye" and when we say "Good bye" to a certain extent we are faced with our own mortatilty, in an indirect way

Because "good - bye" doesn't have a handle to grab hold of. If it did, then "good - bye" wouldn't have much meaning, would it?

When life has become a monotony of happiness and togetherness, saying "good-bye" is unusual and unfamiliar.

When your life has been strife and hardship, death and loss, saying "good-bye" becomes commonplace and easy because it's the norm.

Be anxious about nothing but by prayer and petition offer all your requests to God. There are many reasons goodbye is so hard, but call on Jesus and it will be a little easier. Accept him into your heart to fill the void, ask him to save you from any trouble you are having today, He is passionate about you, He did afterall die on the cross and rise from the dead because he wants to spend eternity with you in heaven, this free gift, he gave freely by his death, accept it and have everlasting life, He will free you from the biggest and most eternally terrible goodbye when you have to go to hell forever, from rejecting Jesus as Savior, accept Him. God gave us the right, the freedom to choose our own destiny, heaven or hell. whose side are you on? Jesus or the devil? ~ its what it all amounts to. You will never have to say goodbye again, there is no pain or sorrow or tears or sin in heaven, so accept Jesus into your heart, today is the day of salvation.

I don't know that saying it is all that hard to handle. Often times hearing it can be much worse.
