Get a wireless card and connect to a hot spot. This is one option. Buy cable service and get cable internet. Then you can always you the cable internet hooked up through a wireless router and have a wireless card installed in your laptop.

You can either use an aircard (which works as a modem and usually go for $200-$400 plus the cost of a monthly service) or you can use some cell phones as the modem and use it for dial up. The phones that can do it usually require that you get the necessary data cables to hook the phone up to the laptop. You usually have to pay your cell phone company for a service to be able to do this too. Its cheaper than an aircard service, but the speeds are usually much slower too.

You'd install a wireless card in your laptop...then, when you get near enough a wireless gateway (or a "hot spot") you can connect just as if you were connected to the phone by wires.

You would probably have a LAN connection on your laptop. You can connect it to a cable line ( like comcast ). I would recommend calling up your laptop tech help , and / or any ISP like comcast. You could also use a wireless card ( if provided ) to connect
