its possible to disprove atheism by just asking where the universe originally came from, not the big bang or anything like that but where the dust and cosmic material that made the supposed big bang. If there is no god then how was there dust or anything in the first place? please do not answer if your only answer is, "then where did god come from lol..im smart". Atheists please enlighten me with your greater than thou attitude.

im impressed with these atheist's stupidity, i am a christian but i did not say one thing about Christianity in my original question showing that Atheists are less tolerant of religions than other people because immediately they attack christians, if you look at my question than you can see that i could have been muslim or hindu. Way to go guys...

It is not a belief. It is lack of belief, and refusing to take responsibility for anything. Just go on your merry way, do whatever you want, accounting to no God, and when the time comes, Oops, I made a mistake is not going to cut it with God.

The whole point of atheism is that it is a NON belief. I accept nothing on faith alone, which is what a belief system is.
Your so-called disproof of atheism is utterly meaningless. Even if that was a valid disproof, it doesn't, in the alternative ,prove the existence of a god...yours...or anyone else's
There are many rational naturalistic explanations for "dust in the universe" to use your odd example. There are also many other cultural and religious creation myths beside the christian one. However if any of them are wrong, it does not automatically default to "bible god did it"
You are making the error of a false dichotomy as well as a bit of a (weak) straw man argument. I try not to have a "greater than thou" attitude when attempting to educate my less rational fellow humans, make the scales fall from their eyes, so to speak..though I know some of my team tend to get a little over zealous....as do the apologists for god.
Extrraordinary claims demand extraordinary proofs.....science is doing its part, what are you doing?? It is much easier to prove something exists than to prove it doesn't exist. Logically it is actually impossible to prove something "isn't"...so your side really has the easier task than my side...which by definition, is impossible. But at least we try.

If anyone's got a greater than thou attitude, it's you.
Belief systems do not centre around a guy in the sky making things pop out of thin air. They centre around a well-thought-out belief. For example, Buddhists do not believe in God. Will you mock them? That belief system gives hundreds of thousands of people comfort and "enlightenment" every day.
Isn't that what God does? Provide a sense of comfort that there will be justice for what you have endured? For every cheek you have turned and everytime you did not judge because "who among you is without sin, let him cast the first stone," or gave to the needy widow with five kids, and helped the old woman across the street, it was with a sense of "I'm gonna get mine. This is definitely going to get me into Heaven."
I hope you understand that I'm being facetious, but I hope you too understand that with a belief in an infinite, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient and benevolent being, you are charged with the ability to tolerate other beliefs.
If you want to know some really logical and persuasive arguments against the existence of God, read Nietzsche or Freud. Like all arguments (including those for God), these are not foolproof ... so don't *you* go getting all greater than thou.

I don't have a "greater than thou attitude", but I am considered an atheist...actually a Scientific Pantheist. Having been raised a Christian, but not having found any truth to it, I chose to continue my search for answers rather than simply accept what was passed on to me by family and society. I found my "truth" in the facts of science and nature, which is what Scientific Pantheism is based upon. Science does not have ALL the answers as of yet because we as a species are fairly new to this planet and are still evolving (as is all of nature), especially intellectually. We have learned however that many religious claims go against the laws of nature and are not only unlikely to have occured, but are also highly improbabIe. Although I see religion as primitive thought, I do respect other people's beliefs.....which is something you obviously haven't yet learned through Christianity.

A valid religion doesn't have to have a "god" to be valid. Some people don't believe the universe was created by some all powerful being. Some people do.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God.
So... what happened before the Word? That's as useful a question as asking what happened before the Big Bang. You don't know. We don't know.

So, are you saying that anything that cannot be currently answered by science proves that God exists?
If a child does not see his parent putting money under his pillow, does that mean that the Tooth Fairy exists?
