Hi asker...I am South African. I will not deny the crime situation. I have ONE REALLY big problem with this site - the pictures on the site is not real - it was taken from another site : rotten.com. Also the guy who started the site used some material from e-tv without their permission. And it was not started or put together by all and sundry; it was only done by one person and that is Mr Watson. I am really sorry, but if you want this type of website to really impact ALL your material must be above board. and your reputation must not be tainted. And for me this guy suddenly have no integrity because of this type of behaviour. No website, or internet petition or thing like that is going to convince the goverment to do something about the situation. It is time that we as SA people do something. And not in the lines of taking the law in our own hand, but something positive. And also wearing a black ribbon is not going to help, because few people know the meaning of it. We need ACTION. Now I have an idea in my head and I will do a posting as to it later..but stop being negative and throwing stones - let us as a nation do something. for a change You are welcome to contact me if you want.

I am very much against wearing a black ribbon. Not for what it stands for, but why it has come about. The whole reasoning. Yes, we must fight crime, but what about when all the 'unknown' people were killed, raped, etc. Why only because it was someone well-known, IYKWIM.

I like the idea of the black ribbon and i read a lot about it from the YOU magazine. I do however not believe it will work but hey...its worth a try. Thanks for your help and positivity!

full supporter! i posted this web site here about 3 weeks ago, didnt get good feedback, but then again people can decide to be blind if they want.
its really sad but so true that we have to go to these messures to get the governments help.
