you know in the movie the notebook starring rachel mcadams well why does the old lady don't remember the old man and can you explain the whole ending for me

She has a short term memory lost just from age. And the ending is that she finally remembers him on her own and during the time her memory was working they past away peacefully in bed together with memories and all.

She has Alzheimer's, that is why she can't remember. The book goes into it a little more.

she cant remember him.. as he lost her memory.. he visits her everyday telling her the story hoping that she would remember.. the story was about the two old people.. he signed himself into the center that she was in just so that she wont be alone.. awh its a lovely film

she has alzheimers disease... they die die together.. with her remembering him and their love... and if I have to keep typing about this I'll start crying just thinking about it..
