One that is honest, accurate, and will benefit the person asking the question.

Granted, some of the questions in here are pretty brainless, and some of them are meant to merely exact a reaction and not a valid response. But sometimes someone truly wants to have some useful information. I believe the answers to those questions need to honor that.

An answer that the asker considers to be the best considering his/her criteria in choosing (most clever, most informative, most humerous, most correct) or that gets the most votes, depending on the diverse criteria of more than one person. I've seen a totally wrong answer get the most votes because it was wickedly funny. And lots of answers are voted best because only one person bothered to vote. Remember that!

a good answer is an answer that answers the asker's question without being to long and complex or too short and simple. an answer that gets to the point.
