He's not my significant other. He's my fiancee'. We actually met on the internet. I always said that I wouldn't do that, but I just had a very good feeling about it. We eventually felt comfortable with one another, exchanged addresses and phone numbers. We chatted just about every night on the internet. We sent letters and gifts and called each other . The guy lives in Peru(believe it or not) We decided that it was cheaper and more feesable for me to fly over there.
I remember sitting on the airplane and I was excited about going, but yet nervous thinking that I was taking this long trip for nothing and everytime I thought that a thought would cross my mind that it was okay everything would turn out.
When I got there, it was like I met an angel. This guy was just as wonderful as he made me feel like he was. He was honest with me about everything. He was not putting on front when we chatted or making empty promises.
That was the best night of my life. I wish I could live that night over and over again.

I remember it like it was yesterday. Over the years, my brain has turned to mush, but I always remember the night I saw her for the first time.
I had met her on an online game, EverQuest. We knew each other for about 2 years on it. Eventually we both stopped playing, and went our seperate ways. When EverQuest II came out, she and I began playing again together. But this time we confessed our feelings for each other. After months of planning, I took a 3 day bus trip to meet her. It was about 2500 miles.
I arrived at the final bus station at 2 am, and there through the glass doors I saw her standing there waiting for me. A security guard asked me where I was headed, and I said "I'm here for the girl." He smiled and let me into the building.
We had to spend the night in the bus terminal until morning. We then caught another bus back to her place. I remember holding her hand on the bus thinking to myself, "After 3 days of being by myself on those miserable bus rides, just holding her hand is making this ride so much better."

Oh I vividly remember it.
Was talking with a friend on MSN who asked a mutual friend of ours if we wanted to play a game of Sven Co-Op (A mod for Half Life 1) at about 2 am just to pass some time till we were tired. Didn't much want to, but joined anyways 'cause a bit of coop is always fun. Then, this guy whom I thought was just a random server passer-by joined. I was disconnected soon after, and almost didn't rejoin because I was tired, but my friend insisted and so I did. The guy was still there, so we exchanged sarcastic comments to one-another but our horrible grenade throwing skills, he seemed at least nice enough to keep around for future games, and so I added him to MSN. Turns out, he barely knew the mutual friend, and it was 8 am his time and he hadn't slept yet. He's not even sure why he joined, just a random spur of the moment thing. Nearly 2 years later, and even after I told myself I couldn't ever have another online relationship, he is now my fiancé and honestly has changed my life because of that random decision.
Yay for being nerdy and flirting in a coop game. :D

That's so sweet.I met my husband when I was 14 yrs old.A friend of mine "set us up "because she didn't want to go out on a date (with another guy)by herself.we all went to Pizza Hut and then back to the other guys house. The other guy and girl, were in the bedroom playing, while the guy(my hubby now)and I sat awkwardly in the living room.I hated him then and thought he was a dork.We decided to stay friends. We ended up being best friends for about 9 yrs, before we dated. He was always there for me and he was there through my 1st marriage,2 kids' births, and a divorce.we then started dating and within 2 yrs,we were married. We have now been married for 7 yrs(in August) and we have 4 kids(2 by my 1st marriage and 2 by my hubby now).We have the best marriage anyone could ask for.He works his butt off and is such a good father to all the kids.I am so blessed to have married my best friend and wouldn't change it for the world.

I suppose it is unusual, but I believe (and experienced) love at first sight. The first weekend I was in the new city (Montreal) I met the lovely lady who has now been my wife for the past 39 years. We experienced mutual immediate attraction, and followed with our first official date (for lunch) the following Monday. We have seldom been far apaaart ever since, marrying 11 months later.

Yes, we meet at a grocery store in St. Paul Minnesota and he was there with his now ex-wife (whom I get along great with). They were shopping and I was there shopping with my cousin. I had just moved to St. Paul to live with my cousin and he was good friends with my cousin and her husband. The two guys worked together for the same company. It jsut went from there. That was 15 years ago.
