I fell in love with this bed spread but my mom said my cats might claw on it when they sleep on it and the matireal might get messed up. Is that true? It is called the Seventeen Shimmer Papaya Comforter and the info is listed below. Will this peticualer material rip? T-H-A-N-K-S !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't let my cat on it. It wouldn't take much for the cat's claws to snag up in this fabric. Good luck! I have the same problem here!

Cats love to kneed when they are happy and content. Nylon has a tendency to run, so my answer is listen to Mom.

I think that may be mom-speak for:

"We can't afford that"

"You don't need that"

and/or

"No way THAT is going to appear in my house"

Once you are on your own, you will be able to decorate however you like - until then, that "old" comforter will keep you warm =]

i have 2 cats and they have never destroyed any of my bedding or furniture

your mother is right. unless they are declawed they will ruin the bed spread..
