There are a lot of reasons to come to Canada. Our economy is on the upswing, tons of work in Alberta and BC, ( especially in the oil fields) and an excellent standard of living. Our education and medical systems are excellent. No one is denied medical treatment in Canada regardless of abilility to pay. Our government has several grants, loans, and bursaries etc. to help you return to school or start up a business. Canada is very serious about taking care of our enviroment and has very strict recycling and pollution control programs in place. It is therefore very clean. Our atheletes are some of the best in the world. ( check out a hockey Hall of Fame to see where the top hockey players come from.) Some of them play for other countries but they are all Canadians.) The scenery is spectacular, with the Rocky Mountains, (as well as others ), lots of forest, lakes galore, rivers and the most beautiful ocean front the world has to offer. You can leave the big cities and be in the beautiful countryside in minutes. We are a huge country with a relatively low population which means that we have tons of green space and aren't falling over each other. If you enjoy fishing, camping or any other outdoor activities you can't find a better place. We are abundant in natural resources and could easily be totally self suffient if we had to. Our country is made up of every ethnic group imaginable and everyone is treated with respect. We have very strict gun control and as a result our homicide and violent crime rate is very low compared to other countries. We are a very peaceful country and as a peacekeeping country it is respected world wide. We have fresh air, beautiful scenery and the friendliest people you will ever meet. Canada is actually listed as one of the least expensive, cleanest, best quality of life, safest and best places to live in the world. I have been all over and I would never consider living anywhere else.
