They used to get black so I mastered how to hold the newspaper just right or either lay down and read it on a bed so I don't have to hold it.

If i read for a long time, then yes, esp. on a hot day when my fingers are more sweaty than usual. the ink on the newspaper rubs off on them.

Yes, and so is my nose! I am always rubbing it because I am allergic to cigarettes and cats and I smoke and have 30 cats!
