I liked English too, but I saw no future in it. My mum was an English teacher (but I grew up in the Russian Federation so she taught it as a second language to Russian/Ossetian speakers), and I learned it very well and at a younger age than any of my classmates. However, I liked chemistry equally as much, and that is what I studied at the undergraduate university.

Fundamentals of Research.. or rather, FOR. It's entirely self-planned, and it's pretty much just a period to work on your science fair project.
Plus during intersession (between fall & spring terms) you have no other classes besides the ones you take at regular school and spend the entire day in the lab.
