I have finished my freshmen year and I am now taking Geometry A in summer school. Is it possible to take Algebra 2 in my sophmore year and finish Geometry B in the next summer school.

At my high school it didn't matter which one you took first. Some people even took them at the same time.

Yes. For the most part, the Algebra II curriculum does not rely heavily on geometry. The only reason I can think of that geometry might be a prerequisite is that a lot of textbooks use geometry problems to set up algebra problems in an effort to build connections between them. So there may be some examples that you will not know how to do, but I think you will be ok in general. Conceptually, you don't need to have geometry first.

i think of geometry and algebra are 2 distinctive animals. Geometry bargains ordinarily with area figures and algebra bargains with numbers. so which you need to have no subject learning geometry with out the algebra first.

Well it depends on the school, at my school we just do geometry freshman year then algebra II the next..and so on, there's an order

Yes, you will be fine. They are quite different. I took alg. 1 > alg 2 > geometry.

At my school there was only one Geometry, soooo I have no idea.

i believe as long as you have Algebra 1 completed you should be fine.
