The world is all about changing to suit what is the coolest thing "IN" at the time. if that means Homosexuality then yep, we are out and not in at all.
I have my children force fed this type of stuff by the puplic schools who think that it is wrong for my daughter to talk about GOD but ok for them to teach her to accept two girls kissing in the bathroom.
Still trying to figure out what sexual preferance has to do with my daughters education. Now I agree that she should not go around hating people but she certainly should not be forced to accept something that she feels is wrong.
Hope that makes sense.

Oh my goodness. Your view of the world is very narrow! Everything in the history books is about heterosexuals. Every day at Disneyworld is heterosexual day. If homosexuals weren't the targets of discrimination, they wouldn't need a special day there. Why shouldn't kids know about homosexual heroes? Homosexual kids are taught all about heterosexual heroes whenever the children of said heroes are discussed. I don't know that any homosexuals are campaigning to have their sexual exploits covered in school text books, certainly not any more than would be covered in regard to a womanizer like Benjamin Franklin, a heterosexual that all homosexual children have to hear about.
The only difference between your own, presumably heterosexual, freedoms and those of homosexuals, is that you have a heck of a lot more than they do.
I'd like to encourage you to seek some cultural sensitivity training, or to make friends with a gay person. You might very well find you like them a lot. And if you observe closely, you might even see the disadvantage handed them by our society. Many gay people are indeed able to maintain healthy friendships with straight people despite intense fear and even loathing on the part of some heterosexuals for homosexuals.

If you're being sincere and not just trying to provoke, let me tell you we straight people don't need any of that, because we already have it. We've got our rights, we've got our privileges, we can get married to the person we love, and be with them in hospital, and so on... The tribulations of a sincere heterosexual monogamous relationship are discussed every single day on TV, in this site, or everywhere. And I don't have any idea who you mean is a homosexual hero, just for their sexuality.
You say you don't hate or fear homosexuals, but you prove you do...

You think homosexuals somehow have more "freedom" ?? Are you blind I ask? Have you ever been beaten, ridiculed, discriminated against, fired from your job, kicked out of your house, spit on and hated for your heterosexuality? Please, give me a break. So we have a gay day at disney land, woop dee doo. If you want a straight parade, arrange one so you can proclaim your heterosexuality. If you seriously believe society is discriminating against heterosexuals your are seriously misled. Has the thought ever occured to you that maybe society and the media are being nice to gay people to make this world a better place?

This is just ridicoulos! After violence, discrimination and emargination, you care about a parade? Did some Homosexual try to seduce you very heavily? Stalked you? Forced your kids to have sex with them? Because, for me these are the only reasons I would dislike A homosexual person (the person who would do it, not all). They're finally getting some of the rights we had all along. Wouldn't you like to celebrate something like, let's say.... an indipendence day???

After reading these boards, I don't think it would make much difference. The heterosexuals are turning themselves into animals that have no discipline or thought to illegitimate children. Sex wasn't meant to beused like a video game; something that you can play with and then just put away when you're done with it----or get another CD if you get bored with the old one.
Unfortunately, I believe it's marriage and morality that are being discriminated against.

No... the only reason there are pecial events for homosexuals is because they are the ones being targeted with discrimination. These events are meant to open peoples eyes. Why would you want more of what we have? THat doesn't make any sense. We don't even have the right to marry? All we have is the bigotry of homophobes.

i don't understand what you mean by homosexual freedoms...heterosexuals have just as much right to throw a straight pride parade, AND they can get married. besides, you can still participate and fight for gay rights if you're not gay. and you can find plenty of people willing to discuss straight relationships. and just for clarification...homosexual heroes? sexual exploits in textbooks? i really don't understand that last part.

People are just being more open-minded these days and it's about time. Just because there is a gay pride parade, it's only 1 day of the year, and many straight people attend and support it, too. So why begrudge gays for that? Live and let live.

You know, I think that we have all become so worried about being politically correct that no one really expresses themselves honestly anymore. Seems to me that if a person is prejudiced in any way toward any group then the way to get past that is to admit it first, and then learn to deal with it with tolerance in some cases and choices in other cases that don't put one in an uncomfortable position. Am I wrong? Maybe...it works for me though because I pretty much get along with everyone.

Agreed. At the same time no one cares to discuss the trials and tribulations of being male...or white. There are no parades, no holidays. Reverse discrimination is discrimination no matter who its aimed towards.
